Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of web hosting, domain registration, and related services (the "Services") provided by Webiconic ("Webiconic", "we", "us") through this client portal ("ClientZone"). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Services

Webiconic provides:

• Shared web hosting (disk space, bandwidth, email, databases, as described per plan)
• Domain name registration, renewal, and transfer for supported TLDs
• Registration of .co.zw domains via ZISPA (the Zimbabwe ccTLD registry), which is a manual application process, not an instant automated registration
• SSL certificates, WHOIS privacy protection, and related add-ons
• Billing, invoicing, and support ticket services through this portal

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date. You're responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Billing & Payment

• Invoices are generated per your billing cycle and are due within 7 days unless stated otherwise.
• We accept payment via Paynow (EcoCash, OneMoney, and card), bank transfer, and cash - payments made outside Paynow are recorded manually once received and confirmed.
• Accounts with an invoice more than 7 days overdue may have services suspended without further notice. Continued non-payment may result in termination and loss of any associated data.
• Prices are subject to change; changes apply to renewals, not to a billing cycle already invoiced.

4. Domain Registration & Transfers

• You are the registrant of any domain you register through us and are responsible for the accuracy of your WHOIS/contact information and for renewing before expiry.
• Domains are subject to the policies of their respective registry (e.g. ICANN for generic TLDs, ZISPA for .co.zw) in addition to these Terms.
• Domain transfers require you to obtain and provide a valid authorization/EPP code from your current registrar; transfer requests are actioned manually and may take several days.
• Registration and transfer fees are billed at the time of order, per our published pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Services to:

• Host or distribute illegal content, malware, or material that infringes others' rights
• Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or engage in phishing
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Consume resources in a way that degrades service for other customers

We may suspend or terminate service for a violation of this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

6. Backups & Data

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any content, files, and email hosted with us. We are not liable for data loss.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated where practical; emergency maintenance may occur without notice.

8. Suspension & Termination

Either party may terminate a service. We may suspend or terminate your account for non-payment, a breach of these Terms, or unlawful use. Fees already paid are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webiconic is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including lost profits or data, beyond the fees you paid for the affected service in the preceding 3 months.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
