Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains when a refund is available for services purchased through Webiconic's client portal. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Web Hosting
- New hosting accounts come with a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of first purchase, provided the account hasn't been suspended for a Terms violation. Contact support within that window to request a refund.
- Renewals are non-refundable once processed, but you can disable auto-renew or cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged again.
- If we cancel or fail to deliver a service due to an error on our part, you'll receive a full refund or credit for the affected period.
2. Domain Registrations & Transfers
- Domain registration and renewal fees are non-refundable once submitted to the registry - these are third-party costs we pay on your behalf the moment your order is processed.
- This applies to .co.zw registrations in particular: once a ZISPA application has been submitted, it can't be withdrawn or refunded, whether or not ZISPA ultimately approves it.
- Domain transfer fees are non-refundable once the transfer has been initiated with the losing registrar, even if the transfer is later rejected for reasons outside our control (e.g. an invalid auth code, or the domain being locked).
3. WHOIS Privacy & Add-ons
Add-on fees (WHOIS privacy, SSL, etc.) follow the same rule as the service they're attached to - refundable within the hosting money-back window on a new order, otherwise non-refundable once activated.
4. Domain Transfers to Webiconic - Manual Handling
Because we don't yet process transfers automatically, our team collects your authorization code and completes the transfer manually. If a transfer can't proceed because we're unable to complete our side of the process, we'll refund the transfer fee in full.
5. How to Request a Refund
Open a support ticket from your dashboard, or email support@webiconic.co.zw, including your invoice number and the reason for the request. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method (Paynow) or, for bank transfer/cash/EcoCash payments recorded manually, by the same method you paid with, within 7-10 business days.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank or mobile money provider - we can usually resolve billing issues faster directly, and an unwarranted chargeback may result in service suspension.
